Review of Cosi Cucina

Open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday.
Open for dinner Sundays.
Closed Mondays.

When I chit-chat with people around town, naturally, they ask me what my favorite restaurant is. Surprisingly, I’m often stumped, as it always depends on my mood. (Note: I’ll be less wishy-washy in a couple weeks, when I reveal my top restaurants of the year.)

Without fail, I turn the question back on the asker, and lately I’ve been hearing good things about Cosi Cucina. Fans of the restaurant warn, however, that the wait for a table can sometimes get long—reservations are for large parties only.

Really? I thought. People wait—perhaps even a long time—to eat at Cosi Cucina?

To be honest, I haven’t given this Italian spot much thought since I reviewed it 22 years ago this month. Oh, sure, I liked it fine back then; I gave it a solid three-and-a-half stars out of five—but I never felt compelled to go back. So many restaurants, so little time.
