Culinary Elite, Go Home! I Like This Place!

With today’s review, I’ll probably get kicked out of the food-cognoscenti club. Ask me if I care.

Before I get to today’s review, I wanted to share a few things.

—I tend to wait six to eight weeks before dining at new restaurants, but if you're eager to hear about the new Lachele’s in Highland Park, my pal Andy Lyons has the scoop.

—Global Greens—that non-frenzied seasonal farmers market I adore—has CSA shares available, with pickups available in multiple locations. Sign up here. P.S.: I’m thinking of organizing a trip or two to this market sometime this summer for paid subscribers. Who’s in?

—My Live Video chats with subscribers have been a lot of fun—I’ll do a third one this week, likely on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. to noon, though I’ll send out a confirmation when I know for sure. This week’s topics:

  • ”If loving _____ is wrong, I don’t want to be right.” (Restaurants you like that the food cognoscenti often disparage.)

  • The real story behind the unfinished mural inside Noah’s (a bit of gossip and lore).

  • AUA! Ask us anything (an open discussion for everyone about DSM food).

—Keeping this…
