Restaurateurs sometimes ask why I don’t visit their venues more often—especially after I’ve written something glowing about their food. If I loved it so much, why am I not there every week?

The reality of covering restaurants means I’m always chasing the next great find. That doesn’t leave much time—or budget—to return to places I truly enjoy. Sure, I revisit when I can, but not nearly as often as I’d like.
