Lynn Pritchard to Open "Hugo's" in the Drake Neighborhood

Plus news on the reopening of Table 128 and some chit-chat about the state of restaurant service today.

Artist’s rendering of the structure that will house Hugo’s Wood-Fired Kitchen. The Mediterranean-focused spot is set to open next spring near the Drake neighborhood.

I caught up with with Lynn Pritchard, owner of 503 Cocktail Lab and the once and future Table 128. We sipped on espressos in his dashing loft condo in the East Village. I could have talked to this acclaimed chef-restaurateur all day long, but after about an hour and a half I left, because … chef-restaurateur.

The Big News: Hugo’s Wood-Fired Kitchen

Check out this ongoing overhaul (below) of an aging building in 3200 block of University Ave. The structure is being rehabbed for Wesley Life’s expanding meals-on-wheels program. While Wesley will take up the majority of the space, a new restaurant will anchor the street side of the building.
