Wini’s Note: Writers Fern Kupfer and Joe Geha pen a wonderful Substack. Simply called Fern and Joe, it offers insights on important topics, but always with humor and a dash of quirkiness. Aside from being thoughtful commentators on the state of our state and world (and accomplished fiction and nonfiction authors), Fern and Joe are experts on the food scene in Ames. They dine out often. And, as I told you a few days ago, Joe has written a wonderful food memoir/cookbook, Kitchen Arabic: How My Family Came to America and the Recipes We Brought with Us.
