I have seen photos of the lines outside! My friend's daughter works there. I saw they are open 7 days a week and until 9 pm 6 days a week. My friend said the croissants are to die for. She said it's Korean/French style (she's Korean). I can't wait to go.
I can't get a handle on the hours. The website says 9 to 5. Their Instagram said opening day they were open to 9 p.m., but they sold out at 4:30. I'll go out and see what they actually post on the door!
I hope they have really good croissants. La Mie's are OK. But we just returned from Switzerland and I had some of the best croissants that only in NYC can compare. The croissants in DM look good, but are just not right--in my opinion. I will check it out! Thanks. I love the tips and insider intel.
I'm so glad someone else has said it! I agree. Des Moines croissants just aren't that great. I have not yet had one that compares to European croissants...I love those from France, of course, but Italy does good ones. And sounds like Swiss croissants are fabulous too.
We'll have to compare notes when we've both tasted them.
They do look like typical cakes from a French patisserie. I'll be interested in how they taste. I'm going to let the crowds die down and the opening kinks subside berfore I visit.
Can't wait to try it! Good news/bad new: It’s right across the street from me - I could walk there!
Yes--that could be good and bad! Pretty tempting, right? Let me know what you think.
Oh no! A bakery close to my home!
LOL! It's quite a drive for me...fortunately!

My friend's daughter said they sold out at 230 today. She said 6 pm is the posted closing time, but they always sell out.
Thanks for the intel!
